Nature Center

On the grounds of the Jam Kitchen is the Green Briar Nature Center, also operated by the Thornton W. Burgess Society. Located on the shores of Smiling Pool and adjacent to the famous Briar Patch of Thornton Burgess's stories, Green Briar offers interpreted nature trails and a spectacular Wildflower Garden.

Year-round, natural history programs are offered for both children and adults.

Green Briar is also the home to small resident animals, and it is a wonderful place to bring the family!
